We provide care to asylum seekers to the U.S. who are survivors of torture and who hail from a variety of countries. Many have suffered physical or psychological persecution, female genital mutilation, or severe gender-based violence. We also provide care to minors and individuals residing in immigration detention centers.
The MSHRP serves over 200 clients a year from over 50 countries across the globe.
Our clients seek asylum in the United States due to fear of persecution for one or more of the following reasons:
