The Mount Sinai Human Rights Program presents its Annual Forensic Evaluation of Asylum Seekers Training.
Open to medical students and licensed clinicians, this free training offers an introduction to the pro bono psychological, physical, and gynecological documentation of evidence of exposure to torture, persecution, and other human rights violations. Through presentations by experts in the fields of medicine, mental health, and immigration law, attendees will learn about trauma-informed and culturally-responsive approaches to working with asylum seekers and other applicants seeking protected immigration status in the United States.
